Lego Masters on Channel 4: How many episodes are in Lego Masters? | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Channel 4 reality competition Lego Masters returned last week on November 6 at 8pm. Episodes of Lego Masters airs weekly and are available on Chanel 4’s video-on-demand service All4.

How many episodes are in Lego Masters on Channel 4?

Series two of Lego Masters consists of three episodes in total.

The first series of Lego Masters had a total of four episodes, so this series is shorter.

Lego Masters will be sitting in the Chanel 4 timeslot previously home to The Great British Bake Off.

The show is hosted by radio DJ Melvin Odoom, who will in the Build Room to speak to the contestants as the battle against the clock with their brick creations.

What is Lego Masters on Channel 4?

Lego Masters show sees eight teams competing to build the best creation out of the plastic bricks.

Contestants have been selected from thousands of applications from across the nation.

Each week they will be given brick-related task which they will have complete in a time frame.

Host Odoom explained: “Lego Masters is a search for Britain and Ireland’s best LEGO builders.

“The teams can be anyone – a father and son, two best friends from school, last year’s series we had two Cambridge university students.

“It’s a varied mix of people who are all essentially passionate about LEGO!”

Episode one saw the teams asked to construct a 1.3m bridge without any prior warning.

To add an extra level of to the challenge, Odoom will be operating a remote controlled weighted truck across each of the bridges to test their structural integrity.

Next the teams had to make a LEGO skyscraper with the contestants getting judged on their innovation and creativity.

Who are the Lego Masters judges 2018?

There are two judges on the series this year.

Veteran judge Matthew Ashton, The LEGO Group’s Vice President of Design, will be returning for series.

Joining him this year will the scientist and engineer Fran Scott to offer her critique as well.

Speaking about serving as a judge on Lego Masters, she said: “My job is just sort of a big version of what they do on the show, I think about something, design it and then build it.

“I wanted to get involved to show that people will build and innately they know principles of engineering and physics, but they might not actually completely understand them.

“They know how to use them, but they may not even realise they’re using them.

“When you’re building something and it’s leaning to the left, you build something more up the right of it.”

Who the Lego Masters contestants 2018?

There are eight teams from a number of backgrounds who will be hoping to be crowned this year’s champions.

  • Harry (9) and Ollie (10) – school friends
  • Catherine (10) and Patrick (12) – sister and brother
  • Paul (48) and Lewis (17) – father and son
  • Stuart (35) and Izzy (14) – father and daughter
  • Jayden (11) and Kato (37) – nephew and uncle
  • Chris (28) and Joseph (20) – brothers
  • Nathan (34) and Tom (18) – new building buddies
  • Adam (38) and Odette (36) – husband and wife

Lego Masters airs on Channel 4 on Tuesdays at 8pm
