A home with a pool isn’t uncommon in the suburbs, but is a place with a pool in the city not only virtually impossible to find but also out of reach financially? Maybe not.
According to a study done by the real estate listing and data site localize.nyc, there are plenty of homes with pool access available in the New York City — and across a wide price range.
As of mid-July, the neighborhood with the largest share of homes for sale with pool access was Hudson Yards, the new amenity-packed luxury development, where 73 percent of available units came with the use of a pool.
Can’t afford Hudson Yards? Not all the neighborhoods with a preponderance of pools are so high-end.
Sure, you could spend $98 million on an 11-bedroom apartment in the Flatiron district. But there’s also a studio with pool access in the Bronx neighborhood of Riverdale listed for $189,999.
The Bronx not only had the least expensive listing with a pool, but also the biggest share of listings with pools — more than 25 percent — among the five boroughs. In Manhattan, just 18 percent of listings offered pool access; in Staten Island, 11 percent did, followed by Brooklyn, with 6 percent, and Queens, with 2 percent.
Below are the top 10 neighborhoods to focus on if you’re looking for a home with a pool.
